Minigames

How many minigames are there in Mario Party DS? Lots! Too many that we can't count! (Unless you actually count how many) Here are some minigames that you might have trouble dealing with. Remember, you can't set a record without beating your previous record and your opponents!

Get the Lead Out
The easiest way to win this is that if you set your opponents' difficulty to 'Easy'.
Unfortunately,  when you are playing in Story Mode, you can't choose the difficulty.
If your opponents are Hard or Expert, then you need to figure out a way of how to beat them (or make your score close to your opponents or tie the game). There is this way that  you can be faster at it. Use the tip of your index finger and your thumb to scratch the A button back and forth... but you have to do it super fast.

Parachutin' Gallery
In this minigame, you fall for the correct colour and shape. If you look at the tips before the game starts, it says: 'Each type of target has a unique color. you may be able to react faster if you watch for colors, rather than patterns."  The patterns should mean shapes. What you should really do is to look at the color and the shape, memorize it, look at the grid that's filled with patterns, and fall for the right panel that matches the one you see on the top screen.. Make sure you aim for the target. Avoid the other players bumping you out of the way, or bump them.

Twist and Route
You need to avoid the obstacles that block your way. In this minigame, you wind your car up clockwise while you steer with the A or Y button, or the left and right arrows. If you are holding your stylus in your right hand, use the arrow keys. If you are holding it in your left hand, use the a or Y button. Wind your car really fast when the yellow arrows appear.

Trash Landing
This minigame is all about luck and timing. Choose a rope, then press the A button when you are ready. While the characters are carried by the ropes, watch for the second white line on the floor. It tells you that you should be ready to land. When you are very close in front of a platform, immediately press the A button so you can land safely on it. You won't be able to choose your platform. The red platform is the best. It gives you more time.

Crater Crawl
In this minigame, You use the left and right arrows and the A button. You might get confused the first time you play this minigame. When you press the Left arrow, you go left in a way that you might seem to go right if your character is at the bottom of the top screen. Same as the Right arrow, but it will go left. When you see bubbles in the lava, move far away from it so you won't get hit. Eruptions take up about one fifth of the lava. The lava is circle shaped so it will be easier to figure out the math.

Cyber Scamper
In the minigame, you get a short glimpse of the map. Focus on the holes and the chasm crossings so you could memorize the whole thing. When the race starts, move forward in a slow pace. Eventually, the top screen will come closer to you and it might push you, so you need to move faster and faster until you reach the finish or be the last one standing.

Boo Tag
A Boo will appear in the minigame. When is starts, start running away from the Boo until it gets another player. Then you will have to run away form that player. If you get a Boo on your back, chase others around until you tag them. When the there are 15 seconds left on the timer, another Boo will pop up. Run away from that Boo until it goes another player's  back(or yours). Keep running around to avoid or chase the other players. When the time runs out, whoever has the least time of having a Boo on their back wins.

Flash and Dash
This game will be easy if you are hunting another player. But if you were being hunt down, watch for the warning lights. The more blue lights turn into red lights, the closer a rival is. Also watch for flashlights when you are running around so you will know where they are and you could run away to somewhere else.
